My son and I live in south London, together with a quiet, independent lodger and a sweet-natured, gentle, young dog. After a life in commerce, I retrained as a primary school teacher, and became very interested in education generally, and especially in the use of English. After working in primary schools, I decided to base myself from home and specialise in home tutoring. My pupils include children educated in school and at home in the UK, those with special needs such as dyslexia, through to children and adults from abroad, keen to speak and write excellent English.
Our home is spacious and airy and is located on a quiet road in a friendly neighbourhood. The garden is large and lush, and accommodates a swing, trampoline and hammock. We are an active family, enjoying the outdoors, and we walk, swim or cycle most days. My son is a car aficionado, lover of drama and singing, and an Xbox devotee, who greatly enjoys sharing his home and life with the students who visit us.

About the Local Area
Our home is close to public transport links, and we are lucky to have large green spaces closeby, where we can walk, climb trees, and play football and tennis. A few minutes’ walk away, there is an ice rink, swimming pool and gym, and we are fortunate to have a cinema, library and theatre within walking distance. All the delights of central London are within easy commuting distance, and we are regular visitors to galleries and parks, including the Science Museum, Natural History Museum, Tate Modern, Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens.
