WORTHING, SOUTH ENGLAND
A liking for people, including people who think, behave and learn differently from me have inspired me to become a TESOL teacher.
After graduating in 1988 in Travel and Tourism from Bryn Mawr College, Pennsylvania, I moved to New York City and worked as a personal shopper for famous designers like Salvatore Ferragamo, Prada and Hermes an interesting, glamourous and exciting role that exposed me to a variety of people, characters and priorities, I can’t complain. The big apple also exposed me to a multicultural and multilingual environment where speaking English wasn’t a priority and this is where my passion for teaching and helping others started. Understanding that if I can help people with their English language that their standard of living can be improved.
I moved to England in the year 2000 and obtained my TESOL certificate in 2013. Prior to that I have been teaching other languages for 10 years in various schools. I am trilingual as are my two daughters Catherine 15 and Isabella 25 but not our cat Mr Noddles he is only bilingual.
I am a TESOL teacher with experience in teaching at all levels and ages including families, I also specialize in speaking, pronunciation and developing students confidence. I offer the Cambridge English program for Spanish speakers and prepare for the First Certificate.
I am located on the south coast of England in Worthing, where the weather is more pleasant than the rest of the country. My family and I welcome students from all corners of the globe and greet them all with warm English hospitality. Our large Victorian home is located near the town centre close to all local amenities. I am looking forward to meeting new students and helping them to achieve their goals with their English language studies.

About the Local Area
Worthing is a traditional seaside town with a twist. This is a place full of surprises – a wide open prom allows space to breathe, to run, to cycle, an endless horizon frames the beach and, of course, don’t miss our famous Worthing Pier. The Worthing of today is a happy collision of classic and contemporary; where else can you hop off your paddle board and into one of the oldest working cinemas in the UK, tuck into a traditional cream tea or pop into a micro pub, swing by an art studio beach hut
The town also makes a perfect base from which to explore wider West Sussex, just 90 minutes from London Victoria by train or 20 minutes from Brighton.
